Cyclists Fighting Cancer have new vacancies for two part-time Cancer Exercise Specialists.

For this role you will be working with children and young people with cancer supporting them in achieving their functional and fitness goals through one-to-one exercise training. You will need to be a person who enjoys meeting people and feels comfortable talking with individuals across all areas where CFC operates. You will also be confident to offer advice and guidance on how CFC’s equipment and services will be beneficial to children during their rehabilitation and beyond.

If successful you will be visiting children and young people living with and beyond cancer and their families across either the North or South of the UK. You will also be visiting paediatric oncology units in this region, where you will be raising awareness of the charity and advising health professionals and support staff on the benefits of appropriate levels of exercise for patients during and following cancer treatment.

In both cases, you will be highlighting the aims of the charity and the services it has to offer. You will be endeavouring to raise awareness of the benefits that exercise can bring to everyone surviving cancer.
The successful candidates will have a positive and empathetic nature with the ability to plan and organise their time and work schedule, using their own initiative and without direct supervision. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, with an ability to converse at all levels.

NVQ Level 4 Cancer Rehabilitation qualification would be advantageous, however training can be provided to individuals with experience of volunteering or working in the charity or fitness sectors.

All applicants must have a full UK driving licence.
