On the 16th of June 2018, Team CFC LifePlus, four cancer survivors, three men and one woman are going to take on what is accepted as “The Toughest Bicycle Race in the World”. The RACE ACROSS AMERICA is a 3100 mile long time trial, from Oceanside, California on the West Coast of the USA to Annapolis, Maryland, near Washington on the East Coast. The riders and crew will be racing non-stop, 24 hours a day and hope to complete the course in around seven days. All of this is being done in the name of all the children currently living with cancer in the UK. We are aiming to raise £100,000+ to help our charity Cyclists Fighting Cancer provide vital support for children with cancer.

Race Across America, actually is a race, we teams and individuals taking part from all over the world! But, unlike the three great European Grand Tours (Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana and Giro de Italia), RAAM is one continual stage, once the clock starts in California it does not stop until the finish line on the East Coast. It is the world’s longest time trial…the ultimate race of truth. RAAM is about 30% longer than the Tour de France. Moreover, racers must complete the distance in roughly half the time, with no rest days.
