ABOUT CFC CFC STORIES

"If this site inspires one person to get on a bike and ride even to the end of the street, then it will have been a complete success."

Mike Grisenthwaite - Founder and Chair CFC

To supply children and young adults affected by cancer with bikes and equipment. This includes not only the survivor themselves and their sibling/s but also the children of adults who have been battling the disease.

We strive to promote cycling as an appropriate activity for those undergoing and recovering from cancer treatments to aid both short and long term outcomes and to provide support for cyclists who have been diagnosed with cancer and who wish to have contact with other survivors.

Everyone is invited to take part; some may have lost a relative or will know someone recently diagnosed, undergoing treatment or in remission.

Whatever your motivation it's all good! You may even like to organise your own cycle event locally we can help with that too, see the events page for more information.

Not surprisingly, this site is inspired by the examples of Lance Armstrong and Jane Tomlinson their books and deeds. My ambition here is to build a team spirit and through the organisation of cycling events and tours bring the group together to celebrate living and cycling.
